Cameraless Photography!
Create your own prints using the printing process of cyanotype also known as sun prints. Cyanotype is a gorgeous photographic printing process that produces a Prussian blue print with UV lighting. In this class, we will learn different ways to explore and create works of art using this medium including: printing on paper, fabric and creating our own large community print. No experience necessary.
Class Schedule:
- Thursday, May 16th (6:00 - 8:00PM)
- Thursday, May 23rd (6:00 - 8:00PM)
- Thursday, May 30th (6:00 - 8:00PM)
Curriculum:

Week 1 - Printing on paper using natural found objects or handmade paper cut outs. Students will also get a chance to explore alternative techniques such as salt and toning the paper.

Week 2 - Printing on fabric. Create your own tote using floral, found objects or paper cut outs.

Week 3 - Create a community cyanotype. Students in the class will work together to create some one large cyanotype piece that could be displayed in a BFF space or during a First Friday.
